Where to start?

China is pissed because we sent up a surface to air missile to blow up a boondoggle space heap full of poisonous gas. They say it’s threatening result could lead to tension. They forget to mention they did the same thing already and even sent their missile to hit something in a higher orbit only to leave hundreds of pieces of junk floating in orbit. This field of debris prevents other spacecraft (including spy satellites) from orbiting in that region. Hmmmm. Sounds like great cover.

McCain screwing around? Well the Times of New York says so right after endorsing him last month. I guess it’s better press to build up a candidate real good so the tearing down is all that much better than the build up, like a baby who just knocked down a stack of blocks.  It’s OK though, Bill did it and the times was beside themselves then to defend his cigar poking actions in the Lincoln Room.

Ding Dong The Witch is, well, dying a slow humiliating death. Oh Goodie! Hillary has nothing left on Obama except to accuse him of plagiarism and making cracks about his speeches. She also has to make a point to jab at the fact that he didn’t want to participate in those debates that really didn’t matter. They aren’t going to say anything different than the last million debates we’ve already seen and those just turned into something resembling two kids fighting on a playground. The Angry Lesbians have yet jumped the SS Hillary but who the hell cares what they think?

American Idol is terrible even though it has been billed as the best 24 contestants ever. If that’s the best, this show is demonstrating to the world that our talent pool must really be sucky. Paula Abdul is really incoherent and I’m thinking this lady is in the early stages of Alzheimer’s or a tumor or something is pushing on the part of her brain that gives her the ability to form words and sentences.

Lost is AWESOME and also a nod of Approval to Ely Stone. Time Travel is starting to emerge as the gist of Lost. I’ve been a big fan of the Time Travel theme in TV since the 1960’s Star Trek episodes highlighted it several times. “The City on the Edge of Forever” was one of the best TV episodes of any kind- ever. I was also a big fan of Journeyman which I hope didn’t die a quick death because of the strike.

GM’s trying to buy out their entire Unionized workforce. Once again, Unions bring another American giant to their knees. No not because workers rights have been violated. Instead, the unions and their workers are greedy and the reason NAFTA (a really bad idea) had to to be created to begin with. We can’t afford them. Hate them as you may, Wal Mart employs a largely non-union workforce and this company thrives even in the shittiest of economy’s. Bitch if you will that they are China’s 3rd largest trading partner being a much larger partner than most of the countries of the world. But Wal Mart buys cheap goods produced in slave labor factories in China where there are no unions. We can actually afford a few things in Wal Mart. If the Unions want to help America (which I don’t think they do), they ought to set up shop in Beijing to organize all those poor sweatshop workers and demand better conditions. Then, after 80-100 years of jacking up wages for unrealistic reasons, the cost to produce good in China will skyrocket and we can start buying goods from all our non unionized manufacturing plants here in the US.

Castro Resigns and Raul takes over. The embargo on this country has NEVER made sense and if Raul is indeed “Fidel Light”, it will make even less sense. The embargo’s ONLY purpose has been a political measure by presidential candidates to placate all the Cubans who now claim Miami as their own just so they can get their votes. If you think all those people are going to swarm back to Cuba once the Castro’s are gone and “Democracy” seeds are planted, “Your Retarded”.

Rush Limbaugh now helps me understand where I stand on McCain.

Think God for Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, James Dobson and the rest of the far right (and left).  They’ve made it very clear that John McCain is my Republican hope.   Up to this point I’ve been weary of McCain but no more!

Refering to John McCains success in the primaries: “We are trying to stop the wanton destruction of the party, the wanton dilution of the party,” said Limbaugh, whose daily show is syndicated on radio stations across the country.  When I saw this, my first thought was to fill in the word “Party” with the the word “Race” and you get an idea of the mindset of these people. Not that they’re racists but they have the same limited reasoning and ideals of what is best for this country.  Why would a prescription drug abuser like Rush Limbaugh criticize McCain for accumulating so many votes cast “By the people”.  The rest of the country who aren’t crackpots believe we need to find some middle ground and maybe McCain represents the Republicans and Obama represents the Democrats.  The screaming about these good candidates shows that they’re being Left Behind by the rest of the country.

As for Bob Dole and his letter suggesting to Rush Limbaugh that McCain has been a good and honorable Republican, I now like Bob Dole a lot better.  Right Wing bitch Laura Ingraham told listeners on her syndicated show that they should take Dole’s opinion of McCain with a grain of salt.  Dole is a “four time loser” and neither McCain nor Dole are true conservatives”, said Ingraham, who is also a FOX News contributor. “So when Bob Dole comes out and tells talk radio through a letter to Rush, that you should just back off . . . I think of 1996 and that horrific campaign run by Dole and his advisers,” said Ingraham, who is backing Mitt Romney for the Republican nomination.  PAY ATTENTION HERE: “Fox news Contributor” and “Romney Supporter”.  Need I say more.

These AM talk radio assholes, along with Hillary and the ones on the left are the reason more and more people are moving to the center.  They’re dying a slow death and are in a quandary because there’s not one viable candidate that exactly matches their extreme views.  Now is the time for a certified Independent to step forward or how about an Obama - McCain ticket for 2008!

Super Tuesday, Letdown Wednesday!

OK, Romney is on his way out due to in part to Huckabee stealing a few states from him. That’s the best thing to happen yesterday especially after that asshole from Mass. suggested Huck get out of the race because he could get more votes. What the hell is wrong with Romney? What’s wrong with letting the people vote for whoever they want. It IS voter suppression when you try to eliminate a voters choice. Huckabee won some states over Romney, so what, those evangelical folks voting for Huckabee aren’t going to vote for the Anti-Christ so Romney’s losing nothing. I figure after Huck’s fight is over, he won’t endorse anyone especially the Asshole Romney and he may give McCain an unofficial nod of approval.

Oh Dear Lord! Hillary banking on all the East/West coast whack-jobs has paid off. The promise of Barack Obama to bring this country together is tough when the largest number of delegates comes from parts of the country that thinks the world revolves around them and gives not one shit about the states in between. Of course here in Arkansas, she won quite handily. The folks around here actually think she gives a shit about being from Arkansas. Nothing could be further from the truth. Arkansas was an entry level job to her. If (God forbid) she becomes president, there should be no Hillary Clinton Library here or anywhere else for that matter because she’s really from nowhere. The library will most appropriately be one of those floating cities like the ones in the movie Waterworld. If you’ve seen the Bill Clinton monstrosity library in Little Rock, you’ll understand why a lot of us here will be completely happy if she (God forbid) gets a library and puts it somewhere else.

Gynecologist/Congressman from Texas Ron Paul. What a combo!!! I’m at a loss here on what to think about Dr. Paul. If he didn’t seem like a Perot/Stockdale ticket reincarnated all into one guy, he might be a little more marketable to the folks of this country beyond his Texas Congressional district. He says a lot of crap that gun toters can latch on to but I appreciate his belief that our Government should follow the Constitution. The core of his support is a problem for me stuck in the middle of the right and left.

What A Week!!

First, a wonderfully huge upset in the Superbowl and then today already, Mike Huckabee kicks Romneys Ass in WV.  Now I know its a bit of creative politics with the McCain supporters throwing their support to Huck, but who cares, a symbolic ass kicking is an ass kicking and maybe Romney will pack up his motor homes, throw the dog on the roof and get back to the land of screwed up politicians Massachusetts, a state in which I would have greater respect if they refuse to vote for this phoney.  Great strides were already made when Ted Kennedy endorsed Obama over Hillary.  There is a glimmer of hope!

Toni Morrison Endorses 2nd Black President

My guess is that Toni Morrison will think carefully before spouting off garbage like “Bill Clinton is our 1st black president”. It may have been funny and catchy at the time and suited her purposes as well as Bill’s, but those words now show it as a twisted insult to the black community. It sounded like she thought there was no chance there ever being a qualified black candidate in her lifetime to be president so she declared Bill HER first black president.

What the hell is happening with the democrats!? The rats are bailing on the Clinton’s and Ted Kennedy is the first to hit the water (again). Now author Toni Morrison has endorsed Obama. This goes to show the confusing prediciment black voters are experiencing with this years candidates. After South Carolina, my guess is that they are making up their mind and their mind is clear enough to notice that Billary Clinton’s interest in the black voters was for just that, votes. It seems that black’s have never voted a principal other than they are supposed to vote democrat despite the fact that democrats are no more interested in the welfare and well being of our black citizens than the Republicans.

I believe Obama is the best candidate floating to the surface this election year. I don’t care that he’s black. He’s smart, speaks to me at a level I understand, shows signs of hope, and does not appear to be an “Insider”. Insiders have proven they are no better running our country than anyone portrayed in the show “Dirty Jobs”. George Bush wasn’t an “Insider” after being elected the first time. However, after that second win, he was an Insider with 4 years of experience at the highest level and he’s proven he can’t govern either way. As much as I like John McCain, I’m afraid he’s too inside as well and can’t get past the idea that there is something about him that makes me a little nervous.  I am one independent that believes Obama is the candidate for the job. I’m sure Hillary thinks she’s qualified because she’s already had 8 years in the white house. But, as Dick Morris said “it is irrelevant that she was in the White House for eight years. So was the pastry chef”.

http://thehill.com/dick-morris/why-the-democrats-are-backing-hillary-2007-10-10.html As I’ve said before, it’s unlikely the dems will allow Obama to be president. The machine will unfortunately chew him up and spit him out. Hillary represents all the interests of the Left and they know it. The link referenced above sums it up quite nicely. There is some hope however with the endorsement of the drunk Kennedy. He was a Machine Democrat and he managed to sober up enough to reason out his endorsement.

Catching Up:

For a bunch of folks propped up by the Arab world as a cause to rally around, there’s not much more use for the Palestinians outside their fences. Egypt is right now spraying them with water cannons to keep them out of their country. You would think that the Arabs would be more open to receiving their repressed Arab brothers and Sisters from Gaza.

Rebates from the government are on their way. We’re saving ours so we won’t be helping invigorate the economy.

A union worker at a Ford plant makes $68,000 a year popping hub caps on new cars floating down an assembly line. Just recently, Ford proposed a buyout for longtime union employees in hopes of replacing that workforce with cheaper non-union workers. Those who refuse to recognize that Union wages have driven up the cost of everything MADE IN AMERICA are in denial or in a union. These people seem to think that the work they do is worth more than what I make after 15 years at the same place, what they forget is that a robot (or an illegal immigrant) has the ability to do their work a lot better and for a lot less.

Japanese whalers have been pestered by those whale hugging Greenpeace types. This time, I say give em hell Greenpeacers. Or in this case the Sea Shepherds of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. The Japs have seem to found a nice little loophole that allows them to slaughter thousands of whales for “scientific purposes”. The only science on the whales performed is with soy sauce and white wine.

American Idol is a fraud and if you watch this show with the idea that it is a sincere effort to find America’s undiscovered talent, “your retarded”. Check out one of the best sites on the Internet www.votefortheworst.com for a good time. The folks at VFTW have been pissing on AI’s good times for a few years now and every year they only get better and better. The funniest thing about the site is the hate mail from the AI ‘tards that defend this scam.

Tom Cruise and scientology ought to have a sit down with Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney and compare notes on which of their religions is more screwy. Do you think Cruise will ever look back on his days as a scientologist and wonder what the hell he was thinking? No wonder he can’t keep a wife. He starts babbling that shit and they run like hell. Unless Katie is on board the scientology UFO, we can expect to see her running soon as well. The lines for recruits to a new religion based on The Matrix will be forming soon.

Oh dear God, the perfect storm of a worst case scenario is forming in American politics with what looks like a Hillary vs Romney showdown in November. Now I’m nowhere near wanting to find a nice little shack in Saskatchewan but that Icy Hell will be better than the choice we have to make in December.

Crying Game Works

Although a risky play, the crying game worked.

In our village, we teach our kids that you shouldn’t get what you want by crying. Apparently we now know that isn’t necessarily true. The same way we learned that oral isn’t really sex. I know because the President said so. Hillary was well advised when it was suggested after the planted question at the ladies tea in NH that she should work up a good show of emotion. Although an actual tear never happened, the effort to cry was enough. The angry ladies of NH who claim to have bumped their heads on the glass ceiling have spoken. Hilary’s disingenuous efforts work.

She’d be crazy to fire the adviser who led her to that gem. However, it probably would have better served the Clinton campaign to fire up the emotional play before Super Tuesday. Therefore, she will need to play a different emotion card since crying is now old school. The short list of political ploy cards to be played between now and 2/5: cramps, postpartum depression, sincere appreciation, 1st woman president.

Obama Warning In the Land of Opportunity!!

E Mail circulating among the rednecks here in the “Land of Opportunity” attempts to “warn” of Obama’s past. Yes, it was sure to happen sooner than later and it’s no surprise, this kind of crap is resurfacing. I’m not going to post the contents of the message, all of which is old news, but it does “warn” everyone of his religious past. Never mind the man joined a Christian church (even if for political reasons). If he was really a Muslim and he defected to Christianity and stated it publicly, that would go to show how serious his Muslim inclinations were if there were any at all. It also states some obvious and already disproved lies. Knowing that it’s easy to cut, paste and forward an email, even for an inbred redneck, we’ll be seeing more of this shit to be sure. Unfortunately, these are the same folks who forward shit to 10 of their friends then believe Bill Gates is going to hand them a free computer. My guess is that this stuff will be floating not only from the Right Wing Conspirators but also the Yellow Dog Democrats will be squeezing out a few Obama tidbits as well.

The South has traditionally been a Democratic stronghold. However, the fact that a black man is showing some promise as an electable candidate has thrown things into turmoil. The problem with rednecks these day’s is that they’ve seen too many movin’ picture shows that may go something like this: a terrorist is raised from childhood as the typical American boy, goes to high school and college, starts a business, marries an all American girl, has 2 kids, gets elected to a few local councils then ultimately makes it to the White House. All of a sudden things turn and this sleeper terrorist unleashes his minions on the world from within the walls of the White House. To make things worse, Obama isn’t the typical American boy that everyone thinks should be running for President, even those loyal Democrats.

When Obama’s wheels get rolling, there’s going to be big problems for the Democrats particularly here in the south. All of the black voters that have traditionally gravitated toward the left are going to see just how loyal the Democrats are to the black voter when the true feelings towards Obama and minorities surface. They’re going to realize that the black voters best interest was only an interest of convenience. My guess is that the Democrats of the South will vote Republican before they vote “black”. Even the Yellow Dogs may have a change of heart.

Hillary comes up short when trying to cry.

hillcry-animate.gif

First, the Hillary lovers said (and I’m quoting a real HL here from a last Sunday discussion). “Just wait until she cries. All the people will say that means she’s too weak to be president, (just like Sleepy Edwards did when asked about Hillary’s episode). Others will say if she doesn’t cry, she cold and emotionless”.

I take a 3rd perspective, crying is a genuine show of emotion and because it’s true she has no emotions other than the pre-programmed ones she uses for politicing, this really couldn’t have been considered a cry as we know in the traditional sense. She didn’t actually work up a cry, it was more of a crackly throat with dry puffs of air poofing from her tear ducts. My guess is that her advisers suggested an attempt at emotion to woo in some fringe voters without showing weakness by actually producing real tears. The planted question (which coincidentally was reported to be the final question of the tea) was asked to get the tears rolling.

All of the angry feminists in that little coffee shop bought it and all were moved to dry tears and voice changes as well so the ploy may have helped for the moment.

Debate redux

I watched CNN’s unprecedented coverage of ABC’s debate. No surprises, I didn’t miss anything the first time except:

  • Sleepy Edwards showed some balls and raised his voice a little, however this guy is shades of Jimmy Carter and no, not because of the annoying accent.
  • I loved the Romney attacks from all the Republicans. They all got in appropriate shots and Huckabee was even praised by George Stephanopoulos for making an appropriate clean jab. Ron Paul was notably absent from the Romney attacks but that was about par because he seemed absent from the whole proceedings.
  • The most telling thing about all 13 hours of that debate was the final “feel good-leave the debate on a humor moment” question. ABC’s Charles Gibson asked the candidates if there was one thing they said they could take back what would it be? Right before Hillary answered, I paused the DVR, put in a CD of dance music and began playing both. With one song and danced, she won a whole season of Dancing With The Stars with her answer. Of course she didn’t answer the question, she apparently has nothing to regret except that there is an opposition right wing conspiracy. I have to give credit to Richardson and Sleepy, they in the spirit of the question gave answers that did add a little closing fun. Disappointingly, Barack parroted Hillary and is possibly being set up to take next seasons “Dance With the Stars”.

After a few more appropriate shots in Romney’s direction, hopefully we’ll begin to see the smoke pouring from the engine and the wings beginning to dip slightly in an inevitable death spiral into the ground. I hope he packed his ‘chute.
